Once again we've been able to secure accommodations at several of the very best camps in the country--on private concessions in prime areas for photo safaris. We've made the trip modular so whether you only have a limited time to spend with us or the luxury of an extended safari you can participate. Southeast Asia Trip Report–Destination Myanmar (Burma)

"Intha Style" boats are family cars for the villagers living on Inle Lake. Here the father takes his daughter to school and his wife to market before beginning his day fishing.After a busy five days in Cambodia we reluctantly took our leave and jetted off to Myanmar. After a short connection in the Bangkok airport (Bill was ecstatic to find they had Durian ice cream there but the foot massages were a bigger hit with most of the folks) we arrived in Yangon (formerly Rangoon and still the largest city in Myanmar) in time to see sunset on the way into town. We get asked a lot about whether it is difficult to get permission to travel in Myanmar and the answer is absolutely not—tourists are welcomed. And once there no country has friendlier people…

Southeast Asia–Cambodia Trip Report and December Photo Tour Announcement

We’ve never had a disappointing photo trip to Cambodia or Myanmar (Burma) and once again both destinations delivered for us on our recent photo tour. Whether it was sunrise from a balloon over the plain of temples in Bagan or sunset on the Irrawaddy River while we visited with fishermen and their families at their seasonal camp on the river bank the trip was chock full of great experiences and unique photo opportunities. And even though tourism is rebounding throughout the region there were still plenty of chances to get early morning vistas of ancient Khmer temples all to ourselves…
