Pro Tip: Do a Trial Run
I'm just back from a really fun pre-safari session with a local family about to head off to Africa for a wildlife and adventure safari. They knew they wanted to make the most of their photo opportunities but weren't sure they had the right equipment and were sure that they could use some help making the most of what they had.Fortunately for them they were smart enough to take the time to do something about it in advance. There is no substitute, as every pro photographer knows, for being prepared. Even something as simple as packing all your gear the way you'll be traveling with it and heading off to a local park or zoo for an afternoon of shooting can point out obvious problems. It's a simple step and something that will pay back many times over when you have the right equipment and the confidence to use it correctly when you head off on your adventure.
