I knew before I went to Burma that I wanted to photograph the "Hundred Buddhas" I'd seen in a book. Getting a guide to take us there took a little work, but the hardest part was finding the right point of view and angle to capture the curving line of statues in a way that both conveyed their individual power and gave a sense of the pattern they made in the temple.
