A Terrabyte for your laptop! New WD Mega-Drives Announced

Since disk drives keep getting bigger it shouldn't be a surprise that you'll soon be able to get 1 Terrabyte 2.5" hard drives for your laptop.But of course it is always a little stunning to see the pace of change. These 1 TB and 750GB laptop drives from Western Digital don't compromise on features. We recently returned from our 4th spring visit to South Texas after a great safari week with some very happy participants who got the bird photo opportunities they were hoping for and more. Photorescue Updated to Extract JPEGs from Raw Files

PhotoResuce (the world's best image recovery software) has been updated to version 3.1.10. In addition to the usual RAW file format updates, this version allows the extraction of large thumbnails from RAW files. As raw files of top DSLRs grow bigger, so do the embedded JPEG (or
even small raw) thumbnails. While their quality obviously is not as good as the
raw files, they can save a shoot when the raw data is damaged beyond recovery.

Nikon 10-24mm DX lens with AF-S, close focus Launched

Nikon has many loyal fans of the 12-24mm DX wide-angle lens, but not content to rest on their laurels they've introduced a slightly faster (f3.5-f4.5) and slightly wider rang (10mm-24mm) DX lens for about the same price ($900). I've come up with a set of tools and techniques that taken together can help you minimize the danger of losing any personal information or other valuable or private data you may have on your laptop or type into your web browser. I strongly recommend anyone who does very much travelling consider doing something like this.
