Canon Announces the Canon EOS Rebel T1i -- Answer to the Nikon D90

Canon has just announced the release of the Canon EOS Rebel T1i, 15MP entry-level DSLR includes HD Video recording in 720p.

The Rebel T1i improves upon earlier Rebels by incorporating many features formally found on Canon's pricier mid-level EOS 50D. The big news however is the Rebel T1i's ability to record 720p video, which places it among the few DSLRs currently available that can capture truly high-resolution video using the 60-plus EF and EF-S optics available from Canon. For composing still and video images the Rebel T1i features a 3", 920,000-dot Clear View LCD, which makes it extremely easy to verify the sharpness of your images before and after each exposure.

To better enable sharp images wherever you may be shooting, the Rebel T1i's ISO rating can be set from ISO 100 through 3200 in standard mode, and from 6400 to 12,800 in expanded mode to enable imaging under the most challenging of lighting conditions. The camera is expected in May at and .
