Review: Samsung 8GB SDHC Plus Class 6 Memory Card

by Annie Cardinal

For the past few weeks I have been testing the Samsung 8GB SDHC Plus Class 6 Memory Card. This card may seem like any other SD card, but it has the unique quality of being indestructible. I haven’t put it through extensive tests for robustness as I do want to use it, but so far it has survived a camera drop.

It claims to be waterproof, shock absorbent, and magnet proof, and all of these are good traits for a flashcard, especially if you’re someone who often drops things in various water features. I’ve been using it with my Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS and have been very pleased with its responsiveness and writing speed.

I’ve taken video footage of racecars and took it on a backpacking trip and the pictures have been excellent. So if you want a flashcard that will keep your pictures safe, this is for you.

Editor’s Note: This flash card was supplied to us courtesy of Adam at memorycardzoo.com. You can check out their SD card selection online. Since Adam was excited by the card’s ruggedness I thought there was no better way to test it than to give it to a teenager for a summer beach vacation trip. As you can see it passed with flying colors.—David
